The Nonprofit Leadership and Management Certificate Programme is a detailed introduction to Nonprofit Management that takes on a highly practical, experiential and interactive approach. Participants will learn through a series of online and in-class faculty-facilitated lectures, guest lectures, case study discussions, and videos. This is to ensure they learn to advance powerful innovative ideas into high-impact realities, and effectively apply management skills to the nonprofit sector.


Lagos Business School (LBS) and Ford Foundation inaugurated the Innocent Chukwuma Social Impact Chair and Fellowship (ICSICF), introducing the first youth fellows cohort and unveiling the book cover of the upcoming biography of Innocent Chukwuma. Inaugurated on Friday, May 13, 2022, this initiative, which is in memory of the late Innocent Chukwuma, is being delivered by the LBS Sustainability Centre and funded by the Ford Foundation.

Nonprofit Leadership and Management Programme


The Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre and Ford Foundation West Africa have trained over 200 youth in the civil society sector through the Nonprofit Leadership and Management (NPLM) certificate programme.

The programme is designed to provide participants with experience-based insights and expert perspectives on best practices in board governance and management, talent management, fundraising, partnership and more. Themed ‘Plastic Waste Mitigation in Nigeria: Efforts, Achievements and Prospects’, the 2019 CEO Roundtable on Sustainability explored ideas, actions and frameworks to address plastic pollution in Nigeria.

Held on September 13, 2019, at The George Hotel, Ikoyi, the Roundtable saw a gathering of representatives of government agencies, multinationals, academics and other stakeholders in sustainability.
